84 Days – Bare Knuckles

Earlier this year, I launched the www.markbadeau.com online project with the intention of it becoming a focal point for my professional career. I did a few posts as many of you know, but I have not regularly posted to the site.

I did recently launch a redesign of the site, and I think the site design is exactly what I want it to be at this moment, although I do reserve the right to change my mind.

Since launching this thing, I’ve been grappling with quite a few different things related to this online project given a variety of interconnections related to project.

A representative set of connections and concerns to this site are:

My LinkedIn Profile

My FaceBook Page

Do I do a Pinterest thing?

What about Instagram?

Other projects I have underway online and offline

My OG site from ’96 – badeau.com – what the hell do I do with this?

Do I promote those that have helped me significantly over last 4 years via this site?

Do I just highlight and blindly forward some video that is marginally worth reading like so many do on the social platforms?

Do I get real and start to convey what I really have to say, or do I hold back for FEAR of whatever the reason?

Do I truly have anything worthwhile to share that may be of use?

How much risk am I willing to take with this site and sharing my true voice?

Do I keep my personal stuff, moderately shared on FaceBook, compartmentalized from my professional persona that is even more restricted on LinkedIn?

Does this really help me with my priorities or does this serve as a distraction somehow?

Okay, you get the point. So not much has happened because there are a ton of imagined reasons to hold back. I mean really, don’t I have to have a YouTube channel or a podcast to make this worthwhile?

Well, here’s what I know in my gut – I have had too many people encourage me to let loose and to start sharing some things that could help out someone else. One of my absolute closest friends, stressed to me back in the summer of 2017 that I needed to get my ass in gear in terms of sharing.

I have been building a few different projects out since then, but I have held back with this particular online project.

Well, the gloves are off.

Totally bare knuckles.

Like a brawl in field around a bonfire back in 1996 when I saw one of my close buds get sucker punched by a kid 4 years older. Let me tell you, my bud whooped that kids ass, and deservedly so.

So I will be posting straight up here for 84 days for a variety of reasons that I’ll get into later.

No holds barred.

Authenticity each day for 84 days.

What’s the focus? I will focus on building a designed lifestyle, increasing your vitality, and providing some real world guidance that is immediately applicable for many out there.

I’ll take questions/comments on both LinkedIn and FaceBook feeds as topics for a future day’s post.

I expect a few revelations will be had by me and by those of you reading these posts, along the way.

84 to go.
