Related Yet Distinct – The Launch of Energy and Action

Awhile ago, I stated that I would be publishing two articles a week for a solid year, and thus far I’ve managed to hit this target each week. I also stated awhile ago that I would be launching the Energy and Action brand in April, 2018 and that has yet to happen.

Well, I’m continuing to hone the message and brand for Energy and Action, and I am nearing the point of truly being ready to launch this brand formally. I’ve been working with a number of close friends and professional colleagues to refine my approach for not only the launch of Energy and Action, but also for my own personal brand.

I’ve been studying Tim Ferris for awhile and more recently Gary Vaynerchuk regarding their personal branding approach relative to their business efforts. Both are incredibly motivating guys that have been grinding to get to this point of their notoriety, and it really does seem like we are still in the early innings of this game.

Most recently, I’ve learned and decided upon a few things regarding the need to brand this right:

  • My personal brand is in need of some focus, and many of the posts for Energy and Action in the past year have been in support of finding my own voice.
  • The evolution of my online voice is increasingly becoming my in person voice, and the authenticity and directness you get with me in person – is increasingly coming across in my writing.
  • I’ve decided to connect my MarkBadeau.com with my Energy and Action efforts while also maintaining a separate brand strategy for each. There will be more material coming out in both avenues, but it will be more focused with certain types of content landing on one of the two sites. Up until now, nearly everything has landed here at Energy and Action, this will begin to change.
  • I’ve decided to increasingly deliver my personal opinions via my MarkBadeau.com site along with other avenues/channels tied to my personal brand. My personal site will be getting more content posted, and the two articles per week will encompass both MarkBadeau.com and EnergyandAction.com sites going forward.
  • I’ve decided to increasingly focus the posts here at Energy and Action on the mission of Energy and Action, the tools we have to help the community, and to truly establish the Energy and Action Framework as an easily understood approach to a designed life.  As opposed to the commingled views from me on some things that are not as relevant to the Energy and Action mission.
  • Energy and Action will increasingly focus on the Framework, the various tools that we have developed to get practical results, succinct approaches to the Dimensions of Life, and detail on some blueprint approaches to designing areas of your life – so that you don’t have to start from scratch.
  • Energy and Action will also be launching services on a incremental basis during the second half of this year.
  • Energy and Action will also be launching products in the second half of the year to truly help those interested in some practical boosts to their daily and strategic portions of their lives.

 

So as I consider all of these decisions and the splitting of efforts between my personal brand and the Energy and Action efforts – I’ve reconciled the approach to one of increasingly unified focus. The logjam involved with the launch of Energy and Action has been directly tied to discerning how to tie in my personal brand efforts.

 

 

Related Yet Distinct
While I am individually the focus of my personal brand efforts, and I am building the Energy and Action business – they are related and still separate. The need to unify the connection between both efforts has been paramount over the past two months, and now it is obvious how this will link together.  Duality is a theme you will be hearing more of soon:

  • I am going to increase my content output spanning both brands in the second half of the year given the clarity of branded mission for each coupled with the connection between both.
  • The connection between both my personal brand and my Energy and Action efforts is that I’m working both with Energy and Action being a product of my efforts – built upon my personal brand, yet separate.
  • Energy and Action is a lifestyle design consultancy that is unusually focused on two main types of situations:
    • Stuck and Wanting to Be Unstuck –
      • The first class of engagement is for those out there that just plain stuck.
      • There are plenty of folks out there that are jammed and stuck, and they are doing their absolute best – yet are not seeing the results that they should be seeing. They know they need to get unstuck and start moving towards the potential that they know they have within them; they’re just generally uneasy and have some sort of unrest in their lives knowing that they can’t break free of their current limiting behaviors or whatever, and I can help those people with Energy and Action, whether it be with the tools, the coaching, the services, the blog articles, what have you.
    • Next Level –
      • The second class of engagement is for those folks that are already doing pretty well in their lives and they want to take it to the next level.
      • So they may be doing something really, really well with their professional careers, or on the home front with their families or with their partners. Maybe financially, they’ve figured something out that’s really lucrative and they’re doing really well, but they know that there’s another part of their lives that maybe — where they live isn’t exactly what they want, or the relationship with their parents isn’t where it needs to be, or with their kids, or maybe they just have a gnawing sense of their legacy is not going in the direction it needs to go and they want to revisit some of that stuff and get out of the day to day transactional things that they’re really good at and move more in a direction that’s more holistic in nature.Those are the sorts of folks that I’m working with as well to really help them out, and a lot of those conversations are unique to their situations and really require some coaching and consulting services, depending upon their maturity and the sophistication of the client, we may be going beyond coaching and into real-world consulting in their business or in their lives or in their workflow and that’s the kind of thing I can help them with as well right out of the gate.
    • Engagement Spectrum –
      • When I speak of engagement, there is a spectrum of engagement. You could be a casual reader of this blog, you could be a regular consumer of this blog, you could be a very interested product consumer (products will be getting launched shortly), you could be an accountability coaching client, you could be a ‘single issue’ client that needs to be unstuck, you could be client that needs some lifestyle help with a specific deliverable, or you could be a VIP type of client that would like a full lifestyle coach on your team to help over the course of a full calendar year.
      • Up until now, the client work that I have done has been very, very limited and targeted on a few DOLs with concrete deliverables tied to business efforts of the clients.

 

As you can see – Energy and Action is a distinct vehicle that can be used to help the community, and it is based upon many hard won battles that I’ve had over the years. My personal battles and real life lessons are truly the laboratory that have been leveraged into the Energy and Action Framework, products, and services. Energy and Action serves up the real world lessons that actually work at a scale that will help many people out there that likely are facing many of the things I’ve faced in the past. The 13 Dimensions of Life are the architecture that can be used to design the life that many have only partially envisioned. I will be helping many uncover the DOLs for the first time, and leveraging the 13 DOLS into true meaning and happiness with the Energy and Action Framework serving as the recipe to progress through a DOL—based examination of your life.

 


 
So when will Energy and Action officially launch?
Well, it will launch when I’m ready to launch it with a coherent voice on my personal brand while continuing to tie that brand to my professional brand/efforts and to my entrepreneurial efforts via Energy and Action. My voice will be integrated across all three ‘channels of efforts.’ Each channel will be experiencing the same voice, although the deliverables and value prop will be different in nature given the target audience.
