Shorter post than some others recently – managed to click off another ‘success’ in the DoD program.
Day 3 started about the same time as Day 2, no rest on the weekend here. Managed to blast through the normal workout routine that I carry while dealing with some newly uncovered pains and aches – definitely from the first two days on this program. The program is delivering the wake up call that was advertised, and it is becoming a mental game more than anything else.
I came into the program thinking it was going to help me reboot my discipline and habits. I’m quickly realizing that these are symptoms of what is really in play with this program, and it has me pumped right now – even as I’m about to drop from leaving it all on the field today…
It is about changing one’s mindset and developing a base level of resilience. There were more than a few times today when the mental chatter was complete nonsense aimed at breaking a goal or two of the program. I’m happy to report I was able to power through those times, and to stay on track. As those rounds of chatter came out of seemingly nowhere – it made me really laugh hard. I have signed up for a mindset bootcamp.
At the end of these thirty days, i cannot wait to see the outward results, and I’m even more excited about finishing the year strong with the mindset shifts that are already in play. I spoke about mindset in the very first post on this blog (INSERT LINK) and how it fuels everything else. The program three days in – has already reignited some things that had died down a little bit.
I will intersperse some other blog posts outside of these 30 day bootcamp field reports, along with some readouts aimed at sharing the progress within the program.
