Why bother with another blog when there are hundreds of thousands already out there?
Well, I’m doing this for myself first with the belief that any learnings I share will be picked up on an increasing basis given the no bullshit candor being thrown around here.
This is a vehicle for self development both inwardly and outwardly to focus on a number of external topics and internally oriented learning. I’ve been engaging with some of Tim Ferriss’ material, and I am very impressed and motivated to take onboard a similar approach to experimenting with the various hacks that people have developed – if for no other reason than to learn if they actually work or if there are strange coincidences (which is also a future topic that comes to mind). I’ve also been encouraged by a number of people in my life that truly think there is some goodness to be shared here online. Historically, I’ve been exceptionally reluctant to share anything online – even though I bought my first domain back in 1996 for a very well regarded real estate office in Vermont. After launching that site, I got my own personal site and did some early days content creation and some online strategy consulting in the mid/late 90’s as a side hustle with a couple friends from college.
Fast forward a bit, and I’ve learned a ton in the past few years – in many, many ways – reminders of prior lessons and getting back to basics have really enabled me to take some leaps forward in a few different domains of life. To say things are coming together on a daily basis would be a bit of an understatement. Those closest to me believe I can help you by sharing, and in looking around at a few other sites out there – I am convinced that I can offer some help to you based upon some of my hard earned lessons that bear repeating.
So with this in mind, I’ve committed to publishing at least twice per week for the next year – until Oct 1, 2018. I’ll be targeting an article on the front end of the week (Sun/Mon/Tue) and another towards the end of the week. Some weeks, I’ll be sharing more than those two articles, and there may even be an online video or two that gets tossed out there.
So in a year’s time – I’ll have over 100 articles posted – there are other blogs out there with substantial followings that have posted 150 articles in 3 years with still other sites that have way more than 100 articles in a year. For me, 100 in a year is a starting point to new opportunities that will be attracted toward this project sitting at this URL. I’ll be focusing on how best to enrich you as the reader in terms of time, money, and intentionality so that you are able to increase the happiness level of your life spanning all of the areas of your life.
Loving the grind, and until the next post.
This is great!
